Owner’s Ross Hammer and Lauren Cavallo’s love story is a tale that was born in Cape May and the dynamic duo quickly dived into their entrepreneurial journey shortly after they met. Their shared passion of working hard and building experiences from the ground up took many forms over the years. From buying and restoring homes, to a candle making business, a food truck and many more ventures - they have never lacked creativity or the courage to take a chance on their dreams.
Then, in a plot twist that's straight out of a movie, in March 2022, they outdid themselves by snagging Taco Caballito on Beach Avenue. What used to be a standard taco joint is now a fully renovated, upscale tequileria. Two years, new locations, new restaurants, a sprinkle of magic and some dreams later, Zest Cape May is committed to bringing the community more of what they love.
